The Italian classes are composed of 2 to 12 people of different nationalities who have a similar language level. Normally, the average number of students for class is around 4-8, except in the Summer.
The small size of the classes guarantees a particular attention to each student’s individual need.
Each lesson lasts 55 minutes. |
Standard Courses
They are intensive Italian courses consisting of 4 hours a day (3 hours a day for just 2 students) from Monday to Friday (normally in the morning), for a minimum of 2 weeks.

The daily Italian lesson consists of two parts, with two different teachers. The first part is dedicated to the grammatical, syntactic and phonetic analysis, and the second part is focused on the use of the Italian language (speaking, reading, listening and writing) and on the vocabulary. Over about 6 months the students will complete a programme which will enable them to face the most varied communicative challenges.

Extensive Courses
Long-term courses, 2 hours lessons (grammar and conversation), 2 o 3 times a week for a minimum of 3 months (morning or afternoon).

Conversation Courses
2 hours of conversation a day (speaking, reading, listening, writing), every morning in the Standard Italian course from 11,40am. Ten hours per week for a minimum of 2 weeks. Current events, Italian culture, lifestyle, and other topics of interest will be discussed during the lessons.

Preparation courses for CILS and IT exams
The courses are organized twice a year, in March and September, for the preparation of the CILS Exam (Università per Stranieri di Siena – 6 levels) and for the IT Exam (Università Roma Tre), which will take place in June and December. The courses can be carried out as follows:

In a special class organized upon request of at least 4 students, two times a week for 2 hours in the afternoon (code S.C.). Recommended for a duration of 3 months.

Italian for Business Courses
Courses organized upon request of at least 4 students (Invidual lessons are also available). The courses run two times a week for 2 hours in the afternoon. A good knowledge of Italian is requested to attend this course. The programme includes: typical work communication, specific vocabulary for professionals, business correspondence, products presentations, formal manners in the work environment.
